Frequently Asked Questions

How long does it take to straighten my teeth with Invisalign?

On average, the Invisalign process typically takes about 12 months. However, the length of your Invisalign treatment depends on several factors. To find out more, it’s best to schedule a consultation with Dr. Snider by calling our office at (817) 236-8771

During your consultation, Dr. Snider can evaluate your oral health and determine a treatment plan based on your individual needs.

Is Invisalign painful?

When you swap out your trays every two weeks, you may feel discomfort for the first few days.  This is because the new trays are working to gradually shift your teeth into the proper position. As your teeth adjust to the new trays, any discomfort will fade quickly.

How much does Invisalign cost?

Invisalign typically costs between $3,000 to $7,000, depending on your individual needs. For an accurate estimate, it’s best to schedule a consultation with Dr. Snider where he can determine a treatment plan based on your needs.

Insurance may cover a portion of the expenses. We recommend contacting your provider for details on your coverage. At Lake Country Dental, we proudly offer flexible financing options so you can enjoy your beautiful smile as soon as possible.

How should I care for my Invisalign trays?

It’s important to properly care for your aligners so you can stay on track with your treatment plan. Invisalign recommends wearing the trays for 22 hours per day and only removing them prior to eating or drinking. Before placing the trays back in your mouth, you’ll want to rinse them and brush your teeth.

At night, you can use a toothbrush to clean your aligners and soak them in antibacterial soap to keep them free of germs. Be sure to store your trays in their container to prevent damage when you’re not using them.

Is everyone a candidate for Invisalign?

Even though millions of people have straightened their teeth with the Invisalign system, it’s best suited for patients with mild to moderate tooth misalignment. It can also fix overcrowded teeth, gapped teeth, over/underbite, and crossbite– for some patients,  it can even improve the shape of your teeth.

To find out if you’re a good candidate for Invisalign, schedule a consultation with Dr. Snider by calling (817) 236-8771.  During this visit, he can evaluate your oral health and determine an appropriate treatment plan for you.
